Carly Hemming is a London based milliner creating bespoke, couture headpieces, for both occasion ware and editorial projects.

With her background in fine art and design, Carly is never without her sketchbook and is captivated by the space where art and sculpture meet millinery, always striving to make pieces that are effortless and appear like magic.

Having studied millinery for 3 years, Carly graduated from Morley College in 2022 with a Distinction and has since designed pieces for the White Show, Fenwick Bond Street and the eminent photographer Ram Shergill.

Her design led work is unique, sculptural and strongly influenced by sustainable and vintage materials, in particular wedding dress designer Sassi Holford’s atelier silk off cuts. Materials really influence how Carly interprets her drawings, the resulting work being a combination of blocked and wire structures, that are dramatic yet delicate.
